Plant production
The plant production team is made up of Michel Kernéis and Marie Marmillod.
A steering committee made up of Patrick Achard et Hubert Schaller acts as an interface between users and the service.
Requests for cultivation in greenhouses and cubicles must be made via the Plantiquette application.
Users of the service must ensure the harvesting of their Arabidopsis seeds
The plant production team ensures:
- Watering plants
- Validation of Plantiquette orders (once a day)
- Preparing the soil (with the help of Christophe Himber and Pierre Mercier)
- Phytosanitary surveillance and treatments
- Cleaning and sanitizing the chambers (with the steering committee telling users when to empty chambers)
- Cleaning and washing the trays (with the help of the users, one person trained per team)
- Sowing , transplanting, staking, bagging of Arabidopsis
- Sowing of Nicotiana benthamiana
- Crop rotation management
Ludivine Malherbe, David Pfliegler, Daniel Clesse et Sébastien Staerck are responsible for watering on-call duty.
Cultural spaces managed by the plaform
4 large walk-in growth chambers in the basement
11 walk-in growth chambers from the 1st to the 3rd floor (North side of the building)
17 walk-in growth chambers on the 1st floor of our extension
1 greenhouse of twelve ccompartments on the roof
Greenhouses are closed every Friday from 1 pm for cleaning.
2 stand-alone growth chambers
These culture cabinets are managed by users in terms of watering, programming (temperature, light) maintenance.
A user manual is available in a basket on the side of both cabinets.
These stand-alone growth chambers must be booked via the IBMP “eBooking System” (links below). The booking requests will be moderated by Kamel Hammani.
Percival 1 : short term growth chamber (1 day – 4 weeks)
Percival 2 : long term growth chamber (4 weeks – 4 monthes)

Working rooms are closed every Friday from 1 pm for cleaning.
