EDUROAM Wifi

Service mobility for eduroam participants.

Whether you’re moving across campus or spending time studying or working at another research and education institution, eduroam gives you seamless internet connectivity. With eduroam installed on your laptop, there’s no need to request special accounts. Your password for your online identity is provided to you by your ENT credentials.

The use of EDUROAM supposes the installation of components necessary for the authentication. The procedure depends on the platform used (Windows, Mac, Linux) and the version of the Operating System.

Visit the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool: https://cat.eduroam.org/  (click the large blue button that says “eduroam user: download your eduroam installer”, then select your home institution “Université de Strasbourg”).

Osiris Wifi

The “osiris” Wi-Fi access allows simple Internet use (it does not require prior configuration) but limited. It is an open network. The purpose of this network is to offer a fast connection to Wi-Fi for users who have not configured access to the Eduroam service. Once connected to the osiris network, enter in your browser the URL of any website starting with http: // …. A redirection takes place automatically to a home portal called “captive portal” . You must then authenticate using your Unistra username and password (ENT account).

Guest or conference Wifi

Guest Wifi is a special account just for guests

IT support can issue temporary “guest” access for your visitors, which may not exceed 1 month. If you are organizing a symposium or a conference, it is possible to create a “conference” wifi access that can be used by all participants.
