A permanent position for Claire VILLETTE
After 7 years at the IBMP (master, PhD and post doc) Claire was recruited on December 1, 2019, on a position of research engineer open for the Plant Imaging and Mass Spectrometry (PIMS) platform.
With her license in hand, Claire joined Strasbourg to follow the Master in Biology and Plant Valuation which she obtained in 2013. Financed by a Region-Industry contract (Région Alsace-Brasseries Kronenboug) she completed her thesis entitled “Mechanisms of increased growth via the metabolism of isoprenoids in Angiosperms “with Hubert Schaller, thesis during which she got a taste for metabolomics!
It was during his two successive post-doctorates (2017-2019) that her links with the PIMS platform developed. Claire has successively developed non-targeted differential analysis protocols for plant metabolites, analyzed micropollutants as part of an environmental project of which she was the coordinator. She has also developed methods for analyzing plant lipids in non-targeted high resolution mass spectrometry.
Within the PIMS platform, Claire is more particularly in charge of high resolution mass spectrometry on Q-TOF and SolariX devices (MALDI-FT-ICR). She is also Quality Manager (ISO9001 2015) for high resolution mass spectrometry.
