Alexandre Boubegtitene joined the IBMP

Alexandre joined the Laurence Drouard’s team on December 1st as an engineer thanks to the ANR funding. He will study the expression of the mitochondrial genome of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Grenoble Alpes and then obtained a Master’s degree in Toulouse on Adaptation, Development and Improvement of Plants in association with Microorganisms (ADAM) in 2021. At the end of his training, he was recruited as an engineer at the LGDP (the Plant Genome and Development Laboratory) in Perpignan for a 1-year contract thanks to the ANR funding and under the supervision of Rémy Merret. The study was focused on the co-translational decay of mRNA in Arabidopsis thaliana.
