I am originally from Mexico; I received my PhD degree in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen and had been living in Denmark up to this relocation. My work is centered on gene and metabolite discovery focusing on plant specialized metabolism. 

On my trajectory, I have worked with a range of plants and I will be adding Physcomitrium patens to this list thanks to the LigMo project which allowed me to join Hugues Renault group at the IBMP (more on the project at this link: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101152919).

At a personal level, I value humor, music and creativity… when I used to have spare time, I liked to attend Improv shows, concerts as well as doing creative writing. But in the past few years after becoming a parent, I have been spending more time going to children/family activities.

I am happy to become part of this institute and hope we can converse at some point.
