Camille TRITSCH takes on new functions at IBMP

Camille Tritsch already knows the IBMP well as you can discover in the story she gives of her career. On November 25, she took on the responsibility of the technical platform for experimentation and plant production at IBMP.

“Having obtained a license in cell biology and physiology of organisms at the University of Strasbourg, I wanted to apply my teachings very early on. I had the chance to join Anne Catherine Schmit’s team as a voluntary intern two consecutive summers in 2015 and 2016. Following this experience and other internships, in particular at ICPEES, I joined the master of plant biology and valuation, course valuation of plant resources. My Végé-LAB project, based on in vitro plant culture of orchid explants led to my M2 internship that I had the chance to do in Saint Jean de Braye within the company LVMH Recherche. These six months spent on the phytochemical characterization of a plant of cosmetic interest will have confirmed my desire to work in a research laboratory. At the end of this internship I was recruited as an engineer in Todd Blevins team  for two  years. I first studied the RDR2 protein, an important player in the RdDM pathway. I was lucky enough to be trained in the use of technologies such as CRISPR / Cas9 as well as in the use of other database editors whose effectiveness we have studied. Then, I intervened in reinforcement on various themes of the team as well as on the validation of inducible promoter constructions. At the end of these two years I had the opportunity to be recruited as head of the technical platform for experiments and plant production. I want to put all my skills at the service of this new team and I hope to be able to broaden its scope while learning myself from the expertise of its members. “
