Gilles Dupouy newly recruited
As postdoctoral researcher within the “Stress Signalling to the Nucleus” Team led by Marie-Edith Chabouté. He will be working as part as the ANR MECHA-NUC project started in 2020.
This is kind of a homecoming for Gilles in the region of Strasbourg, as he obtained his biotechnology engineering diploma in September 2015 from the ESBS (located within the Illkirch Campus) in which he entered after two years of preparation school in the Camille Guérin High School (Poitiers). He also spend some time in the teaching rooms of Strasbourg central campus in 2014 which awarded him a complementary master’s degree in the improvement of plant resources.
Gilles then worked from October 2015 as an assistant researcher within the plant molecular biology lab from prof. Charles Spillane (Galway, Ireland), before doing a PhD thesis in the same lab from April 2016 to December 2021 to study the effects of inter-genomic relationships between nucleus, chloroplasts and mitochondria on seed development in Arabidopsis thaliana.
