Mattia DALL’ARA is back

to work with Maria Dimitrova on the nuclear export of RNAs from CaMV. Many of you already know him because he spent nearly 3 years at the IBMP in David Gilmer’s laboratory, from 2011 during an Eramus Master then during his doctoral student in co-tutoring with the University of Bologna (UniBO), between 2014 and 2018. He has studied the viral cycle of Benyviridae, in particular, the maintenance of the integrity of the BNYVV genome during its systemic movement in the host.
From 2018 to 2020, Mattia spent 2 years as a post-doc in the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL) at the University of Bologna (UniBo) working on “the identification and molecular and biological characterization of viruses and phytoplasmas infecting Vitis vinifera ”.
Returning to the IBMP, as a visiting post-doc from the University of Bologna, he worked 6 months with David Gilmer and since February 1 he is now working with Maria as a post-doc at UNISTRA.
