No more detours
After 4 months of work, the forecourt is once again accessible. The reception area and the terrace will finally be able to function again in the pleasant atmosphere allowed by the climatic and sanitary conditions!
It all started on 25 January 2021 with a jackhammer to break up the black slabs and the concrete sub-base. In February we enjoyed the scent of the products used for waterproofing …. and then everything went smoothly. March saw the laying of the new tiles on the carefully adjusted studs for the new layout (look closely!). In April they tackled the staircase and the CNRS logo, which resisted stubbornly! In May, canopy, ramps, duckboards, anti-slip plates came to perfect our new terrace. The red oak has finally opened its spring leaves and the planter is waiting for its new tenants… perhaps a plant from the next IBMP Plant Barter?
