Qubit is a fluorimeter that detects fluorescent dyes specifically bound to the target molecule (RNA or DNA).

Qubit for DNA

The Qubit ssDNA Assay kit enables a sassy range from 1 to 200 ng.

It is ideal for quantitating single-stranded DNA or oligonucleotides. However, it is not specific for single-stranded DNA. This assay kit will also detect double-stranded DNA and RNA, but it will not detect contaminating protein. Nucleotides and short oligonucleotides of six bases or fewer do not interfere in this quantitation assay.

The Qubit dsDNA BR (Broad Range)Assay and Qubit dsDNA HS (High Sensitivity) Assay kit enable detection of low and high abundance DNA samples, and can distinguish dsDNA from ssDNA, RNA, protein, and free nucleotides. Contaminants such as salts, solvents, or detergents are well-tolerated.

Qubit for RNA

The Qubit microRNA Assay kit enables the detection of all types of small RNA (∼20 nucleotides or base pairs), including microRNA and siRNA, and both single stranded and double stranded RNA. The assay is highly selective for small RNA over rRNA or large mRNA, and can tolerate contaminants such as salts, solvents, or detergents.

The Qubit RNA HS (High Sensitivity) Assay kit and Qubit RNA BR (Broad Range) Assay kit enable quick and selective detection of low and high abundance RNA samples, and can distinguish RNA from DNA, protein, and free nucleotides. Contaminants such as salts, solvents, or detergents are well-tolerated.

 

BioAnalyzer (Agilent)

You can check the quality of your RNA samples and your DNA libraries with the BioAnalyzer.

You have to book it before use. The reagents are available on the platform. Note that a training is mandatory before using the instrument. Be careful to schedule a training slot with us at least 2 days before your experiments.
