Welcome to Jeanne ROIGNANT

Arriving on February 1st, Jeanne joined Anne-Marie Duchêne’s team for a minimum of one year thanks to an ANR funding. She will study the targeting of mRNAs on the surface of mitochondria, and in particular the FRIENDLY protein.
Jeanne Roignant did her PhD thesis in Clermont-Ferrand at the PIAF laboratory (Integrative Physics and Physiology of the Tree in a Fluctuating Environment) on the developmental biology of wood in response to mechanical environmental stresses, under the supervision of Dr. Mélanie Decourteix. Jeanne then spent a year as a post-doctoral fellow at Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic) where she worked on heat stress at Arabidopsis.
