Welcome to Louis-Valentin Méteignier and Patryk Ngondo

Louis-Valentin Méteignier completed his thesis under the direction of Peter Moffett of Université de Sherbrooke in Canada, on the translational regulation during the NLR-type immune response in plants. For his first post doc, he worked with Christophe Laloi at the Laboratory of Genetics and Plant Biophysics (LGBP) in Marseille where he was interested in the molecular role of Topoisomerase VI in the confinement of heterochromatin in Arabidopsis.

Louis-Valentin has joined Kamel Hammani’s team with a three-year ANR financing.

Patryk Ngondo completed his thesis at the IBMC under the supervision of Philippe Carbon. He worked on the regulatory potential of the ZNF143 transcription factor in mammalian cells. He then joined Constance Ciaudo’s lab at ETH Zurich for a 3-year postdoc, where he became interested in the RNA interference pathway in mouse embryonic stem cells. Back in Strasbourg in 2016, he worked on DNA methylation in colon cancer cells in Michael Weber’s team at the ESBS Research Institute.
Patryk has just been recruited as Associate Professor in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Strasbourg and joined the team of Laurence Drouard and Anne-Marie Duchêne where he will work on the addressing mRNAs on the surface of mitochondria.
