Welcome to Luisa FELGINES and Marie FOURNEL

Luisa Felgines holds a master’s degree from Sorbonne University. In 2020, she completed her M2 internship with Todd Blevins’ team. Luisa studied the function of a conserved motif in terrestrial plants, located in the large subunit of RNA polymerase IV and discovered by the team the year before. Since September, she has been pursuing this project as engineer, hoping to be able to start a thesis in 2021.

Marie Fournel left Normandy to follow a Genome and Biotechnology license for Plant Improvement in Toulouse, obtained in 2018. She then worked 18 months at the IRD of Montpellier (DIADE – CERES) on the characterization of perception and jasmonate hormone signaling. Then she took part in an 8-month civic service “Cinema and Citizenship”, still in Montpellier. Marie has just been hired as an research assistant in Kamel Hammani’s team for a renewable 6-month fixed-term contract.

Welcome to both of you and good thermal acclimatization to Marie.
